Center for Bioenergy Innovation (CBI) Renewal Celebration

Details: Celebrate the renewal of the Center for Bioenergy Innovation (CBI) with a special event highlighting the achievements and future goals of the center. The CBI, co-led by University of Georgia researchers, has been renewed by the U.S. Department of Energy with a $14 million grant to advance the production of plant-based fuels and bioproducts.

Dr. Ana Ramírez has joined the CCRC Faculty as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She comes from ETH Zurich in Switzerland to continue her research on GPI assembly in mammalian cells and parasitic organisms.

Dr. Ian Wallace has joined the CCRC Faculty as Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He comes from the University of Nevada, Reno, to continue his research on the plant cell wall.
